Postmarked San Anselmo: A History Through Postcards.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a postcard is even better.

A new exhibit at the Historical Museum takes you on a visual journey through San Anselmo of yesteryear using early-to-mid 20th century postcards. It is a sampling from the collection of more than 200 postcards related to the town’s history.

San Anselmo’s street scenes, community events and panoramic views provided endless subject matter for the small, 3-1/2” by 5-1/2” snapshots with a quick note or greeting.

The new exhibit can be viewed daily 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the hallway outside the Historical Museum on the lower level of the San Anselmo Public Library.
